Tips in Taking Google for Education Certification

Preparing yourself for the exam is as important as taking the exam.

Here are some tips before, during, and after the exam!

Before the exam!

Sleep Well. You have to be at your best while taking the exam. You energy, presence of mind, relax and in a good mood while taking the exam 😊

• Check your Internet connection, it must be fast and reliable :D

• A camera is a requirement in taking the exam

• Look for a place where you can take the exam quietly and free from distractions

• Eat breakfast ahead of time

• Go to the toilet before taking the exam, you may go to the toilet during exam but it will consume your 3hours

• Make sure that Google Chrome browser is updated. If not follow these steps:

  1. Open Chrome browser;

  2. Click the More options icon (3 dots) located on the upper right corner of the browser window

  3. Select Settings, a new tab will appear

  4. On the left side panel, look for About Chrome

  5. It should show if the browser is updated and will automatically update if not

• Practice the following computer skills:

• Copy and paste a text

• Switching between tabs or windows

• Following instructions :D

Before the exam proper:

• Open the email with your credentials

• Pin the exam tab

• Copy paste the names to whom to share or invite someone

• Open the email that contains the credentials to use in the exam

• Highlight the username provided in item number 3 to copy it;

• Right click the link in item number 2 and select Open in Incognito window;

• Paste the username in Email address box;

• Go back to the email containing the email address and password;

• Double click the actual password to copy it;

• Go back to the incognito window and paste the password;

• Accept the terms and conditions;

• If you had a technical problem, you have 5 minutes to go back to the exam using the same credentials

• The exam has 2 parts

  1. Part 1 → concepts about Google Workspace tools and when to use it best questions

  2. Part 2 → hands-on tasks to perform using Google Workspace

During the exam

• Read carefully the question in Part 1 or the statement for task and scenarios in Part 2

• Answer all questions and don’t skip any question → sometimes our instinct is correct.

• Mark an item for review! → You can only go back to the question if you mark it for review. After you finish answering the question, that is the only time you can go back to the questions you marked for review. You cannot go back to the question when you are not done with the rest of the questions.

• Exam is for 3 hours maximum. When the time lapses, it will automatically submit your exam. That is why it’s important not to skip any questions.

After the exam:

• Make sure to click the submit button.
